The Bat Cave

The Nanyang bat cave is located near the top of the mountains 3km North West of the resort and is home to millions of bats. Each evening the spectacle takes place whereby around sunset they vacate the cave and take to the sky forming a black trail in the sky spanning above the landscape.
The natural phenomenon can be seen by eye from the viewing platform. Each night they may take a different flight path sometimes directly above you and on a calm evening with little wind you can hear their wings as they disappear into dusk before separating. Eagles are also occasionally spotted in the area.

If you are planning on heading to the bat cave you can speak to reception to arrange the trip to ensure you do not miss the daily event between 5:45-6:30pm dependent upon time of year
